For 2015–2016, the show took over ballrooms at the Vancouver Convention Centre, occupying 25% more display space on two levels. In 2018, the VIAS took over the entire two levels at the Convention Centre—a first for a consumer show. And for 2019, the VIAS capped off three years in a row of over 115,000 attendees per year.
COVID-19 and related issues with the global pandemic forced the cancellation of subsequent shows from 2020 to 2023. In 2024, we returned with a record-setting attendance of 129,034, paving the way for growth and high expectations for 2025.
Auto shows continue offering an intense and personal opportunity unlike any other strategic marketing event. Each year, the auto show experience grows in popularity and scale. But today’s auto shows are more than a good time. It is here where consumers seek to expedite their fact finding and close the information loop by learning about—and, in some cases, driving—the incredible variety of vehicles available at some 65 auto shows across North America.
The Vancouver International Auto Show is a member of Auto Shows of North America (ASNA).
