Car lovers know that collecting automobiles can become addicting. This is real for a local B.C. resident who’s amassed a collection of 13 original Mini Coopers that he’s restored over the years.
The inspiration behind Nadir Ibadullah’s classic Mini collection stems from a bittersweet memory of parting with his cherished Mini back home. Unfortunately, it met its fate at a scrap yard due to neglect, a fate that saddened him deeply. Determined to keep the Mini spirit alive, Nadir embarked on a journey to collect classic Minis here in Canada.
Nadir’s collection (NIMini Collection) is an homage to the iconic Mini, from Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. Spanning decades, from a 1962 Woody, 1969 MKII, 1977 Moke, 1978 Pick Up, 1979 Clubman 1275GT, 1982 Pick Up, 1986 Mini, 1987 Austin Mayfair, 1994 British Open Classic, 1994 Mini, 1997 35 Anniversary, 1998 Balmoral LE, 1998 Rover, to 2000 Final Year. Each Mini represents a chapter in the Mini’s illustrious history.
What makes the classic Mini collection so special is its universal appeal. From young enthusiasts to seasoned collectors, the classic Mini brings a smile to everyone’s face. Nadir strives to spread smiles across neighbourhoods and communities. It’s a race car, an economy car, a fun car, a collector’s item, a daily driver, and a showpiece. All rolled into one.
