1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad Hagerty Fan Favourite

The 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad Hardtop Wagon took its inspiration from the innovative 1954 Nomad Motorama show car which, itself, had been based on the 1954 Corvette. Introduced the year before, the refined, high style 1956 Nomad 2-door hardtop wagon featured the brand-new 283 cubic inch V-8 engine. Built more for looks than function, these cars were very expensive and remain highly prized by collectors today.

One of 7,886 built in 1956, this resto-mod Bel Air Nomad Wagon took two years to build and now features a 495 HP LS376-480 Chevrolet Performance Crate Engine plus a GM 4L65-E 4-speed Supermatic automatic transmission. Finished in Blue Mist and Ivory base/clear paint, it has a complimentary interior and rides on a custom chassis with C5 Corvette suspension and brakes.
