A couple of extremely rare and unique exotic cars will be on display at the 2017 Vancouver International Auto Show. Don’t miss the Ferrari 250GT SWB Berlinetta Competition Coupe and Maserati 32 Model 200Si.
This Ferrari 250GT SWB Berlinetta Competition Coupe is the 37th Left Hand Drive example created and was completed in August of 1960. The first owner was Dr. Alberico Cacciari or Bologna, Italy, who used it in competition. It was driven the Coppa dei due mare, the Coppa Inter-Europa in Monza, the 1000km Paris, Montlhéry, and the Coppa Sant’Ambroeus, Monza where it finished 2nd overall. It placed third at the Mille Miglia Rally and 3rd in Class at the Grand Prix of Pescara.
Maserati produced 32 Model 200Si’s between 1955 and 1958. This example, chassis number 2423, was produced on June 13th of 1957. Joe Sheppard raced this Maserati 200SI in the 1957-1959 SCCA races in Florida and the East Coast, and then stored it away for many years after a full factory rebuild. The current owner won the Ferrari Historic Challenge in 2007 with his Maserati, which regularly finished in the front of the pack. More recently, chassis number 2423 was raced at the Monterey Historics, the Coronado Speed Festival (where it was awarded Best in Class) and the Ferrari Challenge event at Cavallino in January of 2010.
