2012 Poster Winner

This year’s poster winner is Capilano University Applied Art and Design student, Becky Joy with her poster “Parallels”.

2012 marks the 6th year of the Auto Show Student Poster competition. It has evolved to be a part of the curriculum exclusively for the Capilano University Applied Art and Design program second year students.

“The concept for this poster stems from the new and improved venue for the Vancouver International Auto Show – BC Place. BC Place reflects many similar qualities to that of the new vehicles featured in the show: super-sleek, modern design and cutting-edge technology. These parallels make it a perfect location for Vancouver to host such a magnetic and vibrant showcase of the auto industry’s newest triumphs. I chose to literally reflect the two focal points of this year’s Auto Show; visitors will dream of the new and exciting vehicles in the striking reflected light that surrounds British Columbia’s prized venue.”
